10. This is now our second year coming to Camden, ME, staying in the exact same room because we loved it so much the first time. It's only about two hours from our home, and it's our idea of a perfect weekend getaway. It was fun to have very different experiences both times in such a charming place.
We loved our time at 16 Bay View and are sad it has to come to an end. We were supposed to stay at the Lord Camden but were moved last minute due to some work being done there.
Loved this hotel. The room and public spaces were all comfortable and lovely. The rooftop bar had a fantastic view and is a must visit. The staff was eager to please without being overly attentive. Just the right place for a lovely stay in Camden.
Very nice place to stay. Great food. Staff is wonderful. Rooms are warm. Fantastic view in the colder months.
Getting married at 16 Bay View
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
