On the property
“We had a gorgeous room overlooking the ocean, when we woke up every morning we could see the ocean & hear it if we left the door cracked, reminded us of our balcony room on our cruise.”
What couples highlight
“The resort smells amazing when you walk in, and our room was clean, comfy, and had a beautiful beach view overlooking the outdoor hangout area.”
From the reviews
Planning a trip to Islamorada? 🌴☀️ I highly recommend Amara Cay Resort! Hotel is clean ,staff is amazing and every detail made you feel you were in a tropical island.
Staff was extremely nice and helpful. They offer a lot of complimentary amenities so make sure to check their activities schedule to maximize your experience. Not all event are offered daily. They do have fishing available from the doc which is extremely convenient. It is catch and release her.
This is easily our favorite hotel in Islamorada, we’ve stayed here more than five times and it never disappoints. Every visit feels just as amazing as the first. The views are absolutely beautiful, the property is always clean and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere is just so relaxing.
Would recommend or stay here again! We went for our honeymoon and had a memorable experience. Although I did find no one was very personable, they were friendly. Would have enjoyed a hot tub or bath tub but understand it’s warmer climates.
Getting married at Amara Cay Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
