We stayed with many of our out of town guests for our daughters wedding and could not have picked a better place as our home base Southern Hospitality at its best! You can’t beat the location and the front porches are divine!
Our stay at the Anchorage 1770 was wonderful! A beautiful and historic home, lovely fourth floor room with views of the bay, luxuriant bedding and sippin’ wine on a gracious upper patio amid iconic columns. Sunset over the marsh while dining on the front patio and after-dinner drinks in the main room.
Anchorage 1770 is a 5 star experience! The location is within walking distance of restaurants, sightseeing, & shopping. Views are fantastic & food is delicious. Rooms are beautiful & super clean. But at the top of the list are the owners & staff. So attentive…southern hospitality at its’ best!!!!
My stay at The Anchorage was amazing! The rooms, the views, and food were all absolutely incredible. The location is perfect and just a short walk from the downtown Beaufort area. Amy and Frank were wonderful hosts and I look forward to returning in the future!
Getting married at Anchorage 1770
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
