Truly a perfect location if you want a fun beach vacay! And huge shout out to Guest Services Manager, Laura Manning, who made the stay extra great for providing excellent customer service. I had a different expectation for fees and she handled it professionally and with a 'customer first' feel.
Clean, nice room with a peek-a-boo view of the ocean and a nice balcony overlooking the swimming pool. Walking distance to the boardwalk with shops and restaurants + the sand and water. Stay includes admission to the small aquarium next door. Great for the kids!
Great location! Rooms are large and the bedding is comfy. We had a room staring at the beach. Shops and restaurants just a few steps away. More importantly, the beach is just steps away. Looking forward to our next visit.
Very nice hotel but there is a major renovation project going on on the north side of the property. Also, if you are checking in with a pet, there is a $150 nonrefundable pet fee.
Getting married at Avila Lighthouse Suites
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
