From the reviews
Our stay was impeccable not only due to the beautiful views and wonderful weather but also by the new owners of this resort. We’ve been coming here for well over a decade and while we were apprehensive when we heard the news, all our worries were washed away when we met the new owners.
Just stayed at Barefoot Beach Resort for a week over 4th of July. We got 2 cabins (#4 and #5). Both were great! They were right on the beach with amazing views. Very comfortable inside with all the the amenities of home.
A true hidden gem on the shores of Lake Huron. The beach is beautiful, quiet, and perfect for families... soft sand, clear water, and room to truly unwind. Not to mention the sunrises are unmatched. It’s become our go-to spot for making lasting memories by the lake.
An amazing way to enjoy the state of Michigan any time of the year especially summer and fall. This is a hidden gem! Views forever. Sand is perfect and the water is clear and clean. Great spot for family and kid friendly!! We will definitely be back.
Getting married at Barefoot Beach Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
