The Between Beaches cabins is a beautiful oasis. The cabins are cozy and sweetly decorated and there is a sauna and hot tub to use and enjoy as well! Walking on the beach during low tide is like a treasure hunt in the tide pools. We even got to see a baby octopus!
Between Beaches Alaska Lodge is one of those rare places that feels almost unreal in how beautiful and peaceful it is. Waking up with the ocean on one side and the bay on the other is something you don’t forget. I enjoyed this place. Sorry it took me a couple months to write the review. My husband and I finished our 2-weeks in Alaska with a stay at Between Beaches. It was the perfect way to end our trip! Kristi picked us up promptly at the Homer boat ramp, and sped us away to our 4-day adventure! Kristi is the hardest working woman I have ever met, and she has build a wonderful haven for all to enjoy.
It’s hard to find the right words to capture the magic of this place. The experience is truly one of a kind, tantalizing all your senses. I witnessed glowing bioluminescence on one beach and explored tide pools teeming with life on the other.

Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
