From the reviews
For me it was a stop as a passing boater. For that, it was a very good stop. First thing a boater notices is the circuitous channel coming in off the Tennessee River. However the channel is well marked and I never saw less than 9’ of water.
We tent camped, this is where we use to camp as kids. Our family really enjoyed the campsites. Big bonus, Firewood is provided, very friendly owners, and accommodating. They called us to make sure we had everything we needed later the next day. Felt like we were home.
We rented a large pontoon boat for a family outing. The boat was pristine and so very comfortable, it was quiet too. Even a novice can pilot this and enjoy the beautiful Kentucky Lake! We had plenty of time to stop for lunch and to stop off at a nearby beach for swimming.
We Love it at Birdsong Resort. Bod and Judy are the Best. Great fishing and Kayaking. The Resort is Beautiful. We had cabin #8. It was beautiful with a new gas fire pit and furniture on the porch with a great view.
Getting married at Birdsong Resort, Marina and Family Lakeside RV Campground
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
