If we could give 10 star, we would!! We got married at Bournedale on May 21, 2016 and we can honestly say it was the best day of our lives, partly thanks to how amazing Darin (the wedding coordinator), and everyone else at Bournedale!
Truly a hidden gem. We found this venue on The Knot and had a coworker who got married there and spoke so highly of the venue and their team. When we went to tour Bournedale, we absolutely fell in love. Location, location, location!
We can not say enough about Darin and the staff at Bournedale Function Facility. I was a COVID bride and when I was told that we wouldn’t be able to have our wedding here on our original date, my husband and I were devastated however Darin was absolutely amazing. He was so patient and answered all our questions!
Had our wedding here on September 8, 2023. Darin and the entire staff at Bournedale were a complete dream to work with! They really go above and beyond for their couples. Darin has such a calming and professional demeanor that could put any bride at ease on her wedding day.
Getting married at Bournedale Function Facility
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
