From the reviews
Great place for view of GGB. Lots of hiking trails nearby. Plentiful self parking and also valet parking option. Amazing restaurant and bar inside hotel.
A Sanctuary Beneath the Golden Gate Cavallo Point is more than a destination—it’s a sacred pause. Nestled at the edge of the bay, where history meets healing, this lodge offers a rare blend of elegance, serenity, and soul. I visited with dear friends and shared a lunch that felt like a ritual of restoration.
From the moment I arrived, I was mesmerized by how flawless everything was. The hotel sparkled with charm, and the surrounding spot felt like a hidden gem. It’s a dedication shows in every detail-perfectly maintained rooms, immaculate grounds, and a warmth that makes you feel instantly at home.
We were here during the Veterans Day weekend and we were greeted by extremely friendly staffs and our kid even gets a stuff toy. We were upgraded to the best room possible with the best view of the Golden Gate Bridge. The location of the hotel is very closed to the children’s discovery museum and some great trails.
Getting married at Cavallo Point Lodge
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
