I stood up as a Bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding on February 25th, 2017. I was delighted when she chose such a beautiful place to celebrate her special day. I feel compelled to write a review about how outstanding this venue is. The staff was very kind, professional, and accomodating. THE FOOD!
Visited Chateau on the River for my son's wedding venue in March. Tasted many different food choices all of which were very good! I believe the caterer is Kosch's? The building can hold up to 190 people, though my son's wedding will probably be under 100. Loved the high ceilings and lights in there.
I just had my wedding at the Chateau and I was not disappointed! We invited 184 guests, and the hall capacity is 190. We ended up with 150 guests total, and had plenty of room! This hall is a gem. They have most things already on site, which is a big part of the planning process. The food is incredible.
The Chateau went over and above for our wedding day on 9/17/21. We were told it was the best wedding food our guests have ever had! Sam and Jerry were so easy to work with and accommodating. Our day would not have been possible without the Chateau. The venue is absolutely beautiful.
Getting married at Chateau On The River
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
