We stayed at the Courtyard Erie Bayfront for a two-day gathering of a large group of over 200 people. We had a hospitality room on Friday night, an event on the Anchor Plaza Saturday afternoon/evening, and a hospitality room again on Saturday night.
Overall a superior location. The biggest downside is that you do kind of have to grab an Uber or walk more than a mile to find something to do outside of what the little Little harbor area has.
Great view and dog-friendly (minus the restaurant and pool areas). It was still partly being renovated during our stay, but the location is beautiful and close to presque island. Right next to the bayfront conference center as well. Walkable area.
Getting married at Courtyard by Marriott Erie Bayfront
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
