“The morning view in December is still relaxing and beautiful.”
From the reviews
The pier is closed as of 12/17/23. I think it's under renovation. The morning view in December is still relaxing and beautiful. Nice sunrise, too, with the fog
Nestled along the Puget Sound in Northeast Tacoma, Dash Point Park offer a serene coastal escape just minutes from the city. Located in Pierce County, Dash Point Park is a charming waterfront spot featuring a fishing pier, picnic areas, and a ship-themed playground.
its such a nice play ground. kids wont be bored at the beach n play ground both. the parking is structured but I can see it would be difficult to find the spot during summer time. I personally prefer here than point ruston play ground.
Don't know if it was because of covid or not but the people were non existant on the nicest day so far this year. This pier is clean for as old as it is. Great views of Des Moines, Saltwater State Park, Redondo and of course Dash Point. Nice sandy beach to play on. Easy parking and enjoyable visit to great area.
Getting married at Dash Point Park & Pier
Dash Point Park & Pier is a public beach or park, so a ceremony here almost always needs a permit from the managing city, county, or state parks office — and the rules matter: many public beaches cap your guest count, set ceremony windows, and restrict what you can set up (some ban chairs, arches, and amplified sound entirely). There's no on-site coordinator, catering, or weather backup, so you'll bring your own vendors and a rain plan. The payoff is a stunning setting at a fraction of a private venue's cost. Start with our public-beach permit guide, then call the local office to confirm this season's rules.
