Sure you have to pay to park, maybe the picnic area isn’t the nicest but on a nice day it’s a great relaxing place to be with beautiful views. Even on a stormy day it’s fun to watch the waves from the pier. There is a grassy field to play in, a beach to explore and food is nearby.
We saw ducks, seagulls, crows. There were boats. Little restaurant. We had fun. Our daughter is hard to get out of the house but she enjoyed this beach. Picked shells out! Had fun going to the dock and she even wanted to go on the trail.
I went to the outlook above the park and the view was just amazing! Sunsets here are unparalled 🌅
⛵🐚🌊This is home away from home. I've been going here for decades and it's always going to be that special place I go to as it holds a special place in my heart. There's just something magical about the Des Moines Marina ✨💕 it's got a nice pier where you can fish !
