My wife and I had our wedding and henna parties at the Diplomat in November of 2025. Our entire experience at the Diplomat was nothing short of amazing. We had originally been booked a nearby hotel that was under construction and set to open months before our wedding.
As event planners from The Creative Casa, it was an absolute pleasure working with the entire team from The Diplomat to plan a 600 person corporate Gala. We had three months to plan the event and Kelbert and his team hit the ground running to make it happen.
Went to a convention there did not stay at the hotel. They're outdoor area by the pool and overlooking the ocean is very nice, they're indoor bar had plenty of spacious seating where actually I went and got a sandwich at their deli or whatever you call it and I ate out there by the bar area.
I went for the circus. Loved the show. The hotel was nicely decorated for the holidays. Good service from the event staff, valet parking, security, cafeteria. Pizza and sandwich were delicious. Except the lady that was at the cafe and pastry shop. She wasn't nice or helpful. She looked unhappy.
Getting married at Diplomat Convention Center
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
