From the reviews
Beautiful English style garden. Wonderful quiet walk around fountains, trees, statues, views of the water, greenhouses, gazebos, and many different well curated plants and flowers. Butterflies and birds abound. Gift shop, eating areas, 4 sets of bathrooms, and find the fairies activity for the little kids.
Beautiful gardens. We visited in early May, so the weather was cool and pleasant. Not all the flowers were in bloom, but the walk was still gorgeous and such a cool feature to find on an island.
Came here early June 2022 same day as a visit to Fort Raleigh. Reasonably priced. The grounds were spectacular and well worth the visit. Not too hot at this time of year. I imagine in later June through the end of August would be a bit uncomfortable. Spent about an hour here. Plenty of parking.
This is one of my favorite places to visit when Im in the Outer Banks. The garden is peaceful, shady, and gorgeous. The views of the sound are wonderful as well. The gift shop has some very nice items.
Getting married at Elizabethan Gardens
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
