Ww only visited the grounds of Epworth. The grounds are beyond and the small chapel is amazing. We enjoyed being able to sit and pray in such a beautiful setting. The history is rich and it is truly an experience.
Beautiful location. Great spot for a church retreat. Amazing views! Loved the balcony. Only 4 stars on the rooms as the walls are thin and you can hear toilets flushing at night. You can hear your neighbors talking.
This is one of the greatest places to stay, recharge, and reconnect anywhere. Views that are divine. Staff that always go the extra mile. And an origin story that goes back seventy-five years of caring for families.
We have been staying at Epworth many years now my husband loves to fish here on the little pier and I love to walk or ride my bike around the property it is so quiet and beautiful and the view is spectacular!
Getting married at Epworth By The Sea
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
