Fairport Harbor is beautiful during any season and is well kept. (Check it out when the ice is thick enough and read about its history). The only thing I never loved was the parking, which while abundant, can fill up and it's not all paved. I believe there is an expansion for this in the works for the future.
Beautiful lakefront park. It is inside of a breakwall so the waves don’t get too high. There is plenty of parking. In the off season, you can find driftwood, shells, beach glass, and interesting rocks along the shoreline.
Every summer, we come here as a family. The beach is clean and well maintained. There were plenty of lifeguards on duty. The parking is super cheap...only $2 for residents of Lake County and $3 for everyone else. You can bring or rent kayaks and paddle boards.
It could have been better accept for the festival. We had park on top of the hill on the streets. Then walk to the beach. Lots of rocks in the water. Cut daughter's feet. Was kind of painful for her having to walk back up that hill. Otherwise all was nice. Enough toilets. Beach was well taken care of.
