From the reviews
We stayed at The Boatel this past weekend. The stay was fabulous! The entire property was pristine with all amenities needed for a Fire Island beach stay. The location could not have been better with perfect sunsets, on the deck overlooking the bay. Will definitely will return.
Our stay was so nice. The room is very clean and updated. Dan was very helpful with anything we needed. We were able to rent bikes and bike around for the day. They provided shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels, beach chairs, keurig/pods, wine glasses, glassware etc.
We stayed at the Boatel during the week in July of 2025. The place is immaculate. The rooms are new and clean with everything you need for a stay. The deck overlooking the bay was our favorite place to watch the sun go down and have drinks after a day at the beach.
We stayed at the FI Boatel in late September—such a beautiful time of year and a fabulous way to welcome autumn. The waterfront suites sit right on the bay, each with a cozy porch overlooking the Great South Bay. We caught the sunset from the porch, then took a quick walk to the ocean for sunrise the next morning.
Getting married at Fire Island Boatel Kismet
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
