From the reviews
This is very Lovely and beautiful beach. Beach as well as the water is sooo clean and fresh Best place to spend quality time with friends and family during weekends Special attractions here is there is special place to view the scenic beauty from the top without entering the beach or paying the entry fee and benches…
I love this beach! Always love coming here to get the European feel. There is a sandy open beach, life guard on site. Visit is membership based, ample parking on both sides of the beach, parking is free, admission to beach is not free, however if you come early in morning or late in evening its free.
Just a heads up that there's a cover charge for entry. $7 for locals and $14 for out of state visitors. Otherwise the beach is pretty well kept. Changing rooms and bathrooms are very well maintained. Kayak rentals are available for a nominal fee and lifeguards do a pretty fine job.
A great place to see the sunrise! Parking was nearby the beach was very accessible from there. It is not as wide as expected—boats/kayaks take up the left third and a playground is on the right third, but it is a nice location with wooden tables along the back if needed.
Getting married at Glencoe Beach
Glencoe Beach is a public beach or park, so a ceremony here almost always needs a permit from the managing city, county, or state parks office — and the rules matter: many public beaches cap your guest count, set ceremony windows, and restrict what you can set up (some ban chairs, arches, and amplified sound entirely). There's no on-site coordinator, catering, or weather backup, so you'll bring your own vendors and a rain plan. The payoff is a stunning setting at a fraction of a private venue's cost. Start with our public-beach permit guide, then call the local office to confirm this season's rules.
