We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel. My family and I had a wonderful time. The service was incredibly friendly, from the lobby and pool to the beach and parking. Everyone was always smiling and ready to help (my daughter said she felt like a queen). It's a very peaceful hotel with a cheerful atmosphere.
Excellent stay! Rooms are cozy as would be expected for an older historical hotel. The decor throughout the hotel was amazing. 5 stars for the guest room AC unit!! Never felt hot or overheated which is a big plus for us 50+ women! Service at bar, restaurant, spa, pool, and beach was top tier!
Stayed here in November 2025 right after Thanksgiving for the weekend. This is now an Autograph property managed and maintained by Marriott. This place was redo and restored to a fair bit to the old day charm and nostalgia. The holiday decoration was appropriate for the time and the historical relevance preserved.

Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
