From the reviews
I recently attended an event at this venue, and I must say, it is truly beautiful. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking an upscale experience. While the food didn't quite meet my expectations—though I know banquet food can often be hit or miss—this didn't affect my overall enjoyment of the event.
Setting up chairs for a beautiful wedding this day was more fun than work. If it's a corporate party or private wedding, it's always satisfying to setup tents, tables and chairs at the Yacht Club.
We went for a wedding, place looked beautiful, food was delicious, and they were most definitely busy even outside the wedding. I saw a bridal shower going on earlier in the day and lots of people coming to take photos, not sure why.
Excellent venue beautiful décor. Stunning garden And architecture located Right on the lake. Beautiful views from every angle. The catered meals was absolutely delicious..
Getting married at Grosse Pointe Yacht Club
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
