A most charming property of cottages in a quiet cove.. Beautifully landscaped.. Tucked away off the beaten track.. The North Fork of Long Island had a great vibe with all the vineyards and coves to kayak and canoe... A great alternative to the crazy traffic and hustle bustle and ridiculous attitude of the South Fork..
Everyone has certainly done justice to this great vacation spot. We would just like to add, for the vegetable lovers of the world, that there are almost as many farm stands nearby as there are wineries. Each has its own personality and the produce is fresh out of the local gardens. A real treat!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day weekend visit to J&S Reeve Summer Cottages. It was purely by accident that we found this little hidden gem and we are so glad we did. Not only were the owners wonderful to rent from, they were attentive to our needs and accommodated us in every single way possible.
We enjoyed our stay at the J&S Reeve Cottages. Sandy was accommodating and responsive, as we had to change our plans last minute. The grounds were stunning and very well kept. We enjoyed playing bocce ball in the yard in the evenings, as well as having access to a grill for cooking out.
Getting married at J & S Reeve Cottages
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
