Bueatiful. Attended a wedding and it was a beautiful Venue. Breathtaking view of the lake.. Disappointed in the police presence at 10pm waiting at the exit of the park to nabb the happy party goers. Always have a DD.
I must say my husband and I were the first to reserve the lodge. We had our reception there June 2018. It was a beautiful 80+ degree day with pier and lake background.
Nice venue. New digs. Well-stocked facility with kitchen, restrooms, fireplace and vaulted wood-beamed ceiling including full wall of windows facing the pier and Lake Ontario. Playground equipment nearby. Surrounded by large, flat grassy areas. Adjacent pavilion and plenty of available parking for even larger events.
An under the radar public place to spend time at the lake. Lots of benches to sit and relax. A small pier to walk. Shallow water to play in. It’s really gorgeous and I’ll be back for sure! We just happened to be driving by as the sun was setting. ☺️
Getting married at Jamieson Ritter Memorial Lodge
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
