From the reviews

When we went the current was strong and not suitable for our little ones. But the older kids and dad had a blast. The pictures don’t look like much but when you have a 4 and 3 year old not used to the ocean it can be intimidating. We parked along side the road and walked down a short path right to the beach.

One of our favorite beaches in Oahu. We live counting the baby crabs in the sand. Beautiful banyan tree in the pathway to the beach. Parking is on the side of the road, but it is 100% worth it. Walk down toward the sand closest to the small Cliffside and you will see many different fish and even some eel.

The beach on Kawela Bay is nice. There are trees if you are seeking some shade. Otherwise sun on the sand. The parking is on the shoulder of the blacktop road. Walk down a dirt road through the trees to the beach. Actually a very pleasant park. The Banyan Tree from LOST and Pirates of the Caribbean (Dead man's Chest?

A short walk through a coastline rain forest with well-marked and level trails adjacent to - and apparently well-maintained by - the Turtle Beach resort. You do NOT have to stay at the resort to use this park or Kawela Bay Beach, which is also beautiful.

Getting married at Kawela Bay Beach Park

Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
