Hosted my wedding at La Playa and stayed at the hotel. La Playa is second to none in their attention to detail and level of service. The staff are incredible and the food & beverages are amazing. We cannot thank La Playa enough for their great hospitality and for helping make our wedding day a perfect one!
This is such a beautiful and unique boutique Hotel – could not recommend more highly. Staff outstanding and professional, rooms beautiful (although small and not much storage so just be conscious of this). Great vibes in the bar/restaurant. Location fabulous. Hope to stay here again!
This is a true gem. From the beautiful courtyard and amazing rooms to the great bars and food. The staff was very friendly and attentive. You can walk to Carmel and the beach, or the staff will drive you. Very relaxing. We highly recommend La Playa.

Getting married at La Playa Hotel
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
