What a wonderful place to stay! Very clean and had incredible views of the lake! I do want to address the negative reviews regarding those who are turned away for not having the vaccine. First of all, for those of us who have had the vaccine it’s wonderful to know that we can go somewhere that is safe.
Nice little motel sitting high atop Lake Erie in a majestic fashion. Motel offers around 10 (very small) rooms or a 2 bedroom house to rent. Rooms are very clean but are so very small and no frills at all.
First, I want to say thank you to the owners for asking if we were vaccinated. It shows she cares about us and especially her own family. The place is small, but extremely clean. It’s just what we needed. Quiet and relaxing. Barb was so accommodating. The view is breathtaking. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves.
This will be our 5th year going to Conneaut and staying at the lakefront Motel. Lisa was so wonderful, our first year we went for our 10 year anniversary and Lisa had a bottle of champagne chilling in the room for us and we have gone every year since.
Getting married at Lakefront Motel
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
