From the reviews
We loved everything about this inn. Full disclosure, it is old and the rooms are fairly basic. But it is full of charm and peacefulness. Beautiful lobby and ballroom. There are microwaves and plates/silverware etc available for guests to use. The fireplaces are gorgeous and there is plenty of comfy seating.
It is truly the most magical place. I took my son here for spring break, 2025. It was my first time being able to take him on vacation. The staff made it so special for us, and we had the absolute best time! It has communal areas, and we met the most amazing people while staying here. Friends for life!
A charming craftsmen style Inn. It has beautiful lake views and deep history. Since my stay was during a winter storm I did not get to explore the beach or the backyard. However, the inside of the Inn was the epitome of cozy.
What an amazing hotel! We loved our stay in Room 1. This is a beautiful Inn and a beautiful location. We took a walk down to the frozen lake and it was amazing. I highly recommend staying here. You'll love the atmosphere and the hosts are so friendly and accommodating.
Getting married at Lakeside Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
