From the reviews
I have to say I was a little worried about staying at this hotel due to the pictures looking pretty outdated. However we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel was classic, quaint and really grew on us. The rooms were standard, nothing fancy but very clean. And that’s what matters.
Straight out of the 70s, this gem was so much fun to stay in. The rooms are dated, but that just adds to its charm. Right on the waters of Lake Michigan. Beautiful views, a fantastic restaurant and bar, and super friendly service!
It is a very charming hotel in the most beautiful location. It was amazing to wake up and drink my coffee on a porch swing on the lake. Just beautiful. Highly recommended!!!
Getting married at Lighthouse Inn On Lake Michigan
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
