We had our beach wedding at Litchfield. It's a beautiful property and I am so glad we could have such a wonderful wedding there. However, when we booked our wedding? we were told they would hold three bedroom units for us and they did not so some of our kids had to stay on property and that was not ideal.
We’re a family of three- two adults and a 12 year old. Our condo was very nice, clean, and updated - located in Summerhouse. The major draw for us was access to the beach club in a gated community and a poolside room with a lazy river.
Perfect location in Litchfield beach. It puts you close to all the activity in the Myrtle Beach area but once inside the gates, you are in your own private retreat. Beaches and pools are never crowded and the facilities are kept in great condition.
Getting married at Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
