From the reviews
I always enjoy coming to Magnolia Beach. I use it as a stopover on my way down to Mission Texas for the winter. It is always clean and has a high quality of camping Neighbors. But I believe that that is simply why I love camping. Campers are just good people! I have never met a bad camping neighbor yet!
I heard of this beach when I was looking for an investment property. I grew more and more curious and finally my husband and I drove out in January. The beach is not large and it's made up of sand and tiny sea shells so I recommend wearing shoes for both swimming and walking on the beach.
Really nice free camping spot. You can pull you rig right onto the beach and park it for up to 14 days. It was quiet and felt safe. There are facilities near the picnic pavilions which I did not use. There is no water or dump so you need to plan accordingly.
This is an absolute beautiful place to boondock it's on the bay. So unlike the beach you don't have to worry about the tides, you can fish, it's a hard shell beach so there's limited sand. They say it's a 14-day limit but I've not seen that enforced. Remember you'll need to park perpendicular to the shore.
Getting married at Magnolia Beach Park
Magnolia Beach Park is a public beach or park, so a ceremony here almost always needs a permit from the managing city, county, or state parks office — and the rules matter: many public beaches cap your guest count, set ceremony windows, and restrict what you can set up (some ban chairs, arches, and amplified sound entirely). There's no on-site coordinator, catering, or weather backup, so you'll bring your own vendors and a rain plan. The payoff is a stunning setting at a fraction of a private venue's cost. Start with our public-beach permit guide, then call the local office to confirm this season's rules.
