No facilities and not much parking, but the beach is relatively secluded and quite beautiful. We went back a second time during our week vacation (drove all the way out from Waikiki) because it was our favorite beach. The first day, we saw two huge turtles swimming close to shore! Not great snorkeling besides that.
Beautiful beach. Farthest located north on the Westside of island. Many people there to watch the surf break on rocks. Snorkeling and swimming north of beach area. Was kind of worried about the high theft signs, but we didn't wander too far. Bathroom facilities. Enjoyed walking along beach.

Beautiful beach in Makaha. Many travelers worried about safe in the Waianae and Makaha beaches but I feel safe in this beach. The wave is little strong but no matter to swim. Just take care children. I can enjoy beautiful sunset on the beach.
Getting married at Makaha Beach Park
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
