We enjoyed our stay in Cottage #1. Place is exactly as advertised on the website. It's super quaint, comfortable, and relaxing. The owners are hospitable. We enjoyed feeding the goats and the rabbits, picking tomatoes, strawberries, and snap peas, and walking the grounds.

A Magical & Soul-Nourishing Escape We had the most wonderful time at Mar Vista Farm + Cottages—an experience that was both grounding and magical in every way. The private beach was a dream! Quiet, peaceful, and filled with the wonder of nature.
I love Mar Vista so much that I've been back 3 times in one year! I don't usually go to the same place twice, but Mar Vista is the perfect blend of relaxing and fun. The views are gorgeous, the cottages are cozy, and the gardens are incredible.

First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge.
