This was our first time in New Buffalo, MI and first time at The Marina Grand Resort. We had a double queen, Marina view room on the third floor. We really had an exceptional experience. The rooms were spacious yet cozy, and the bathrooms were large (which is nice for a change).
Keenan; the manager, is very helpful and charming. The rest of the staff is very good as well.Rooms, pool (inside and out), and restaurant are all first class. Views of the harbor. Walking distance to town and restaurants. Overall great place. My girlfriends and I have been here 4 times and we're picky!
Absolutely loved our stay at Marina Grand. Free guest laundry was a nice addition. Beautiful room and views. On arrival we found they left us a sweet card and chocolate for our anniversary. Definitely want to come back!
We stayed here a few years ago after we had to cancel our December Royal Caribbean cruise. We were upgraded to a suite was spacious with separate living & dining areas we didn’t use we loved the fireplace as it was winter many things were closed.
Getting married at Marina Grand Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
