Perfect beach for a quick beach trip without having to go to the coast! My family loves to come to this beach. Shallow enough for my 8 year old to walk out to the wood post with adult guidance and calm enough waves for my kids to play in. The sand can be rocky but still one of our favorites.
This is a quaint and peaceful little beach. Remember, to register for a free day pass! Not too crowded. Very spacious. Now, I'm not a fan of Maryland beach water because of the jellyfish and debris in the water but the scenery is nice enough for a lovely family picnic or beach stroll on the sands.
It's small, but it is cute. I like that there is actual shade! Not sure if the shade is all day, since I arrived around 5:15pm, but there are trees, grass, sand, and water. The sand is a mix of that yellow/orange kind but not as rocky, which is delightful for the toes!
This is a nice little area to spend an afternoon relaxing in the sun. Since it's bay water it's very shallow which is great for kids and also warmer than the ocean. Make sure you bring your own food and beverage as there is none available at the park.
