From the reviews
I found Mission Springs while browsing a couple of pet travel sites looking for a dog friendly place to stay near near the apostle islands. The reviews were fantastic and after having stayed I can say it lives up to the hype. The location is fantastic. Right on Lake Superior, quiet, and surrounded by forest.
I am adding my voice to the chorus of reviewers who gave these folks 5 stars. There's simply nothing substantially critical to say about those who run this place. I stayed at the "Lake House" (not cabins) for about 5 days and absolutely loved it.
Absolutely amazing cabin experience! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The cabin was spotlessly clean, cozy, and well-decorated, with so much attention to detail that made it feel like a true retreat.
This place was amazing! Clean, quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. It's big enough to accommodate our friends. Loved that the two rooms had beds big enough for couples, each. Perfect location, not too far from dinning. Ice cream was fantastic.
Getting married at Mission Springs Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
