I've been going to this beach since I was a young child and i have memories from throughout my life of being at this special place , with special people often for special occasions.
This is a very nice park if you are looking to spend the day at the beach. The parking lot is very close to the beach and not far from the water. The bathrooms are clean, there is a fun playground for the kids, and there is wheelchair accessible parking.
Always super clean and well maintained. It's not a huge parking lot, so I recommend coming early on busy summer weekends. It's never swamped like Grand Haven State Park, so you can actually relax and enjoy the beach. Nice bathrooms--- nothing fancy but usually pretty clean.
Beautiful park off the beaten path. A friend reserved a shelter for an event. It would have been nice if the sand had been shoveled off the walk and out of the shelter ahead of the event so we aren't climbing mini sand dunes next to our picnic tables....
