Only hotel in Kotzebue but great interior. Feels very updated with great views of the Bering Sea. Less than a 15 min walk to the airport or a 5 min cab ride. Easy to walk to several restaurants and the Northwest Arctic Heritage Center.
Loved my stay here when I visited. Comfortable modern room without any issue and a great view of town. I loved the room on one of the upper floors that offered a view of the water, great place to get some quiet work done. So grateful for the good wifi as well.
I did not stay at the hotel in a room so I cannot comment on the rooms. But we held a meeting at this hotel. It was a nice facility, very clean with all of the appropriate audio visual accoutrements. It has a lovely view! The personnel we worked with were very helpful.
The rooms and hotel are very clean and well maintained. The service staff at the hotel are really helpful and everyone is friendly. The location is about perfect being right on the water. Even during winter when the ocean is frozen.
Getting married at Nullaġvik Hotel
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
