From the reviews
I can't say enough about our stay at Ocean House. Been going there for several years and every staff member from when you register and throughout your visit are very attentive, friendly and help a guest in anyway they can. Lots of things to do for both kids and adults.
OH is truly one of the most exceptional stays we’ve had in the U.S. The level of attention to detail, warmth, and intuitive service made the entire experience feel effortless and special from start to finish.
Service is top notch! I stopped by Ocean House to explore the area around it and to have lunch at The Bistro (no accommodation).. Yet they helped me to store my luggage and to get a ride to the train station though it’s not their business and I just made it on time and luckily didn’t miss my train!
Ocean House is undeniably a magical place, with stunning views and top-class service. Still, it sometimes feels a bit overhyped, with the emphasis on prestige almost as strong as the experience itself.
Getting married at Ocean House
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
