From the reviews
The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on lot of businesses and public places since a consumer mindset to buy anything outside of essential or to visit a public place like a park or beach, has crippled down significantly.
Great little spot to walk along the water or on the trail off from the beach. Lots of people out fishing. The beach to the left of the parking lot was full of trash and huge metal rings and metal pieces sticking out of the sand, not well maintained at all.
Great place for a walk or jog. About .70/mile from the parking lot to a paved path to the boardwalk, about 1.40 miles round trip. Great waterfront views and beautiful wildlife and wildflowers along the way. Heavenly scent of honeysuckle in June. Right off Rt 35. Free parking. Recommended.
Quite impressed with this waterfront park with its several piers jutting into the water, boardwalk and beach trails, playground and other amenities. Free parking is welcome difference from neighboring Jersey shore towns. Couple of hiking trails start from gazebo area.
Getting married at Old Bridge Waterfront Park
Old Bridge Waterfront Park is a public beach or park, so a ceremony here almost always needs a permit from the managing city, county, or state parks office — and the rules matter: many public beaches cap your guest count, set ceremony windows, and restrict what you can set up (some ban chairs, arches, and amplified sound entirely). There's no on-site coordinator, catering, or weather backup, so you'll bring your own vendors and a rain plan. The payoff is a stunning setting at a fraction of a private venue's cost. Start with our public-beach permit guide, then call the local office to confirm this season's rules.
