A quant little chapel. We attended a wedding there and it was a perfect venue. Maybe 50 seats in the pews. A unique 2 aisle set up with no center aisle. Historic and centrally located. Nice restaurants and a pub close by. If attending an event plan ahead for parking. There is no real parking lot for the facility.
I attended a wedding here. The church is stunning and the church staff were very professional.
Beautiful Church, the preservation of original architecture is awesome. We attended a family members wedding here in April. I was passing by last night after dinner and could not pass up the opportunity. I took this stunning photo of its “awesome glow” of significance and purpose.
This tour is a part of list given when you pay $10 to take tours in downtown Pensacola. The church is beautiful inside and out. The original building was built in 1832. It seems all the rectors died in short period of time.
Getting married at Old Christ Church
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
