I hosted a bridal shower at the McFadden Hall at Onset Bay Center and easily rate the location at 5 stars. The view itself is phenomenal and the function space is wonderful - bright, airy, and open with a nautical theme decor.
We cannot say enough wonderful things about the Onset Bay Center! First, thank you to the BBC for restoring the bathhouse and bringing it back to life. It really shines now and is a huge improvement to the Onset Village community. Angie and Stuart at the OBC, thank you for being wonderful to work with.
We paddle boarded here over vacation and it was great! We had such a fun time. Riley, who was the staff member that helped us, was so sweet. She carried our beach bags and was overall very nice. Would definitely do this again!
Getting married at Onset Bay Center - Buzzards Bay Coalition
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
