Such a great place! It's at the end of the road, or the beginning I'm still not sure 😁. The people are great and willing to help with any plans or trips you would like to take. The room we're staying in, #33 is large with two queen beds with love seat and large armchair. Plenty of space to move around.
This was such a cute little place filled with such a rich history. I loved staying here for a couple of days and just admiring the beautiful view of the water from my room. I was even able to observe a multitude of otters swimming and eating which was delightful.
I cannot recommend Orca enough!!! In terms of hospitality they are truly unmatched. The whole team at Orca goes above and beyond to ensure an unforgettable experience. The views and wildlife viewing opportunities from the lodge itself are absolutely incredible, and the guides are extremely knowledgeable and personable.
Alaskan fishing lodge in every sense of the word. Don’t expect too much and be pleased by all they offer, oddities and normalcies alike. Will stay again to embrace the experience and solitude that is SE Alaska. Big kudos to the kitchen staff and the food, excellent! Rooms were good and views were stellar!
Getting married at Orca Adventure Lodge
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
