I’m not sure why there are such bad reviews this place is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. We rented 136 Sundew and it’s awesome. We got arm bands at the office for the pool. It’s resort style with a bar and lifeguards. Everyone has been wonderful on the property. We come to Port A a lot and this is one of my favorite places.
Great rental we stayed at for 3 nights. Loved the furnishings and appliances. However there were lots of little issues with the unit. Ice maker didnt work, light on stove was burned out, knob on stove broken, dryer lint trap broken.
Absolutely amazingly awesome!!! I can't say enough about how great everyone and everything was. I ordered flowers for my wife and they put them inside and even did a very nice hand written note. Renting the beach cart was super easy and a very nice cart. It was a fun drive to the beach and restaurants in Port A.
The stay at 254 Sunrise Ave was absolutely amazing! Gorgeous home and great location on the Palmilla property. Highly recommend & will definitely be staying there again. Thank you staff at the front office for being so welcoming & allowing us to set up the proposal on the beach!! Y’all are the best!
Getting married at Palmilla Beach Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
