Slice of Paradise: Finding Peace at Point Au Roche Lodge If you are looking for a place to truly exhale, I found it. I just spent a night at this magnificent lodge, and "peaceful" doesn't even begin to cover it. From the moment you arrive, the serenity of the land just wraps around you.
My husband and I absolutely love staying here. Its peaceful and grounding energy nicely resonates with the vibe and decor throughout the lodge. The wooden walls, staircases and ceilings give it a minimalistic luxury feel.
Our family of 3 stayed at Point Au Roche Lodge this weekend. The lodge is in a quiet setting conveniently located across from the state park. We had the Sailor Suite which on the top most floor. The view from our large windows enabled us to see wildlife...deer and birds including several cardinals.
This place is a gem! Peaceful, beautiful, welcoming, tucked into nature. We stayed in the two bedroom attic room with our kids (what a room!) It is a peaceful nights sleep, wonderful beds, and responsible virtual help from their staff.
Getting married at Point Au Roche Lodge
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
