I am so thankful for Port Royal Ocean Resort & Conference Center! Their staff was the absolute sweetest. My son went for a band trip and forgot his wallet on his band trip. They were AMAZING and got it shipped to us so quickly and in the exact same condition he left it (had like $60 in cash in it too!).
Recent upgrades such as pool resurfacing and construction on damaged building are really adding to the ambiance. Pool area is incredible, beach access is so easy, rooms are spacious, and staff are friendly. Have visited multiple times and am always pleased.
I've been going to Port Royal since I was a young kid. I didn't realize quite how much of a "family-friendly" environment is at Port Royal, until I reached my 30s. Either way, it's just a relaxing place to go, allows the option to lounge by the pool or access the beach, and while relaxing...
Been going here for 4yrs this year will be 5 kids love the pools parents love the beach just wish they could keep the elevators working one is always down on each building. Staff is pretty friendly. Everyone gotta take inconsideration the building is old but still looks nice got that good 80s fill to it.
Getting married at Port Royal Ocean Resort & Conference Center

First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
