I just had my wedding in the Sunrise Room and was thoroughly impressed. The view of the island bridge in my photos was amazing. Michelle was great to work with from booking to the event date. Pricing was also affordable and did not exclude amenities of the facility which is a huge plus!
Best place to get married. You always have a backup plan if weather isn't great, but when the weather is great you have an awesome wedding. Water backdrop and no sand to deal with. Very reasonable prices too.
Pretty decent riverside venue, small best for intimate weddings, clean, ample parking. Excellent place for meetings and events. The staff is very helpful and efficient. The view of the waterfront is fantastic with the bridge and Marina within view and walking distance. Located close to downtown do you will have many choices for eating.
Getting married at River Walk Center
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
