From the reviews

Great beach with sandy and rocky areas. For swimming it has a nice sand entrance but swim shoes are recommended. There is some great snorkeling here especially at lower tides, though visibility can vary during the summer because of algae bloom.

Some of my fondest memories as a child are spending time at Buggy Beach with my grandmother. Suffice to say, after returning home many decades later, this destination was on my short list of places to visit and it did not disappoint.

I stopped in looking for wildlife. The beach was great, lots of cool driftwood around. I hiked a bit and saw salmon spawning. There were little areas for campfires and people were enjoying themselves. I didn't see any eagles, but I did spot a lady walking her dog. She agreed to let the dog pose for me on the rocks.

Been a beach we have gone to for over 60 years. I love that they drain it and clean out all the yucky stuff and then let the seawater back in. Love seeing children having fun, listening to their laughter. The play area was a great idea. I miss the tree we use to swing out on rope ,drop in water and the diving board.

Getting married at Rotary Beach Park Buggy Beach

Rotary Beach Park Buggy Beach is a public beach or park, so a ceremony here almost always needs a permit from the managing city, county, or state parks office — and the rules matter: many public beaches cap your guest count, set ceremony windows, and restrict what you can set up (some ban chairs, arches, and amplified sound entirely). There's no on-site coordinator, catering, or weather backup, so you'll bring your own vendors and a rain plan. The payoff is a stunning setting at a fraction of a private venue's cost. Start with our public-beach permit guide, then call the local office to confirm this season's rules.
