From the reviews
We came here for 🏕 camping and the overall atmosphere was very positive. One reason - a good weather on fine afternoon at the beach in the month of July 2022. Beach had different access areas marked as R1, R2…., $14 day pass parking for MA resident.
Absolutely love this beach! It has a great family-friendly atmosphere, and everyone does their part to keep it clean. There are multiple lifeguards on duty, which makes it feel very safe. There are three main parking lots—Lot 1 is great if you enjoy rocky areas and don’t mind a walk, but I highly recommend Lot 3.
Salisbury Beach is a wonderful, clean, not so crowded, easy to access beach with several shops and food options. The boardwalk shops are somewhat dated, but there’s a nostalgic feeling to it. Public parking is available via pay per hour or a full day for $25. Restrooms are modern, clean, and well taken care of.
Great place to visit the beach and to go camping! This is my second time camping in the summer here and I have loved it both times. Facilities are always clean, well managed grounds, quick walks to the beach and to the river.
Getting married at Salisbury Beach State Reservation
Salisbury Beach State Reservation is a public beach or park, so a ceremony here almost always needs a permit from the managing city, county, or state parks office — and the rules matter: many public beaches cap your guest count, set ceremony windows, and restrict what you can set up (some ban chairs, arches, and amplified sound entirely). There's no on-site coordinator, catering, or weather backup, so you'll bring your own vendors and a rain plan. The payoff is a stunning setting at a fraction of a private venue's cost. Start with our public-beach permit guide, then call the local office to confirm this season's rules.
