From the reviews
Absolutely loved my stay at Saltwater Resort on Topsail Island. Just a block and a half from the beach, this boutique-style getaway is thoughtfully designed and perfectly located.
This was our 4th year in a row staying at this resort, and it continues to impress us every time. Five members of my family stayed here, and from the moment we walked in, everything looked just as fresh and new as the first year we visited.
My family and I stayed at the Saltwater Resort in Surf City this past September, and we had a wonderful experience. It was our first time visiting the area, and the resort turned out to be a great choice. Anytime I had a question, the staff answered the phone right away and were always friendly and professional.
I stayed at this location for one night, so I could attend The Beach Boys concert. It was super easy to make the reservation. The facility was exceptionally clean. Parking was very easy with plenty of room for my full-size pickup truck. The reminder emails about my reservation were the right frequency and detail.
Getting married at Saltwater Resort & Suites
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
