Amazing ocean front rental for the price. Beach access was just down the block on the other side of the street. Although the real reason we stayed in Crescent City was to hike the Redwoods, only a short drive from this location to the Jedediah Smith State Park (highly recommend the Boyscout Tree Trail!
Patti was a spectacular host and the property is beautiful. She helped make some of my mother’s last few days in this world a treasured experience for the family.
This is a wonderful B and B — sits on a cliff above the ocean, beautiful rooms and views, plus close to the national Redwood Park! But the innkeepers, Irene and Jose’, are really the reason this is such a great place to stay! They are warm and gracious hosts with such gentle and kind spirits!
We had a group of 8. This house has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and we were very comfortable . This was a beautiful house across the street from the ocean. It was wonderful to fall asleep to the ocean sounds. They responded to all my questions and even provided us a bottle of wine. I would definitely stay there again.
Getting married at Scopa at the Sea
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
